Communication Tips for Sharing Employee Engagement Survey Results Be open. Being open and honest is critical to communicating employee survey results. Be clear. Respect employees responses. Dont debate whos right and whos wrong. Ask for questions. Dont play who said what. Be objective.
90% of our customers survey their employees once a year or more. They know that if you go too long between surveys, its harder to keep up with the changing needs of your people. One-on-one check-ins are also valuable, but not everyone is comfortable sharing feedback in person.
Whether a company mandates employee surveys of any sort will vary. If your company says you must fill one of these surveys out, then its best you do so. Of course, forced participation of this nature has its own issues. Theres lack of anonymity for one, especially if you use your work computer for survey completion.
Employee pulse survey frequency is often monthly or weekly. These are shorter, regular employee opinion surveys, typically 10-15 questions and should take no longer than a few minutes to complete. A pulse survey is best used to follow up and track progress from your baseline engagement survey findings.
4 key areas to address when sharing survey results Explain why the survey is important. Affirm that youd like to hear everyones candid feedback. Summarize how the survey was conducted. Inform employees of the survey response rate.
Employee engagement survey questions How do you feel about work today? Would you recommend [organization] to your friends as an employer? Do you feel excited about coming to work? Are you proud of working for [organization]? Are you satisfied with your current compensation and benefits?
A general employee survey should contain up to 75 questions and take no longer than 20 to 30 minutes to complete. If the survey is too long, the response rate will likely be very low. A survey question should not be double-barreledtwo topics that are grouped into one question, even though they may be related.
This is a point that cannot be over-emphasized. So, to answer the question, the right timing to conduct employee surveys is right now. They should be performed routinely in an interval of 2 to 4 weeks, if not more. Employee engagement surveys should become part of Employee Experience.
