BMI Chart Find your height on the side (in metres on the left and in feet on the right) and draw a horizontal line across the chart. Find your weight (in kilograms across the bottom of in pounds across the top) and draw a vertical line across the chart. The shaded area where the 2 lines meet is your BMI.
BMI = weight (kg) / height (m)2 The approach used here is to first convert height in inches and feet to meters, and weight in pounds to kilograms, then use the standard metric formula for BMI.
The simple formula for calculating BMI on a spreadsheet is: =weight / (height * height) Once again, all you need to do is to type this into the Google Sheets spreadsheet and then fill in the value with your own details.
BMI calculator Create a drop-down list in cell C5. Insert an IF function into cell D7, D9 and D10 to show the correct units. Select Metric from the drop-down list. Create the BMI formula. Enter a weight of 250 pounds. On the Home tab, in the Styles group, click Conditional Formatting. Click Manage Rules.

Body mass index (BMI) is a persons weight in kilograms divided by the square of height in meters.
To testing this BMI function, write on the cell B1: =BMI(55,170), then Press Enter. If the Result is 19.03, it means our custom function is working well. Also you can try calculate your BMI then find out your BMI classification by looking at BMI Classification table.
