To use your favorite font in Word all the time, set it as the default. Go to Format Font Font. You can also press and hold. + D to open the Font dialog box. Select the font and size you want to use. Select Default, and then select Yes. Select OK.
What happens when you modify an existing style? The new style settings are automatically applied to text formatted in that style. The style is given a new name and location in the Styles pane. The style replaces any previously defined style with the same name on the Design tab.
Click on Format and choose Style. Word displays the Replace Style dialog box. (This dialog box is essentially the same as the earlier Find Style dialog box.) Choose the same style that you chose in step 7.

In your Word document, format text to look the way you want for the style, then select it. In the Home tab, expand the text styles list. In the styles list, right-click the style you want to update, then select Modify.
On the Home tab, in the Styles group, right-click the style in the gallery that you want to change, and then select Modify. In the Modify Style dialog box, change the style any way that you want, and then click OK.
Changing the Normal Style Right click on Normal, then select Modify. Review the settings. Make adjustments as needed in the Modify Style window, or by clicking on Format Font or Format Paragraph for more details.
