Hello, Iamp;#39;m Chris Menard. In todayamp;#39;s Excel video, Iamp;#39;m going to cover a little bit of Excel basics / possibly intermediate. Is how to custom format your dates in Excel. Letamp;#39;s go ahead and dive right in. I have Microsoft Excel running, Iamp;#39;ve got a blank file. Iamp;#39;m going to go do this in D1, if you want to follow along with me, feel free to crank up Excel and do this. Iamp;#39;m going to type in 1/1/2023, to put a date in here. Get your crosshairs Autofill, and just pull this down to row 12 or 13. Iamp;#39;m going to stop at 13. Go back and change the January 5th, just to show you this to 12 1 23 and then also change the 6 again, just for demonstration purposes to August 5th, 2022. That works, now weamp;#39;ve got a list of dates we can use. Highlight your dates. By default, Iamp;#39;m on the Home tab and in the Number group, it says Date. Youamp;#39;ve got Short Date in here and youamp;#39;ve got Long Date. Go ahead and select Long Date.

In the Review tab, select Show Changes. Changes are shown in the pane with the most recent changes on top, in the order the changes were made. You can see who made edits, exactly where in the workbook, when, and what they changed.
On the Review tab, click Track Changes, and then click Highlight Changes. Select the Track changes while editing. This also shares your workbook check box. Under Highlight which changes, select the When check box, and then in the dropdown list, click the option that you want.
You can access this feature by going to File Info Version History. You can see the list of versions that were automatically saved by Excel, and open the one that you want to restore.
Follow these steps: Select the cells you want to format. Press CTRL+1. In the Format Cells box, click the Number tab. In the Category list, click Date. Under Type, pick a date format. If you want to use a date format ing to how another language displays dates, choose the language in Locale (location).

Right-click on any column header and select More from the context menu. Scroll down and check the box next to Date modified, then click on OK.
Remove formatting from a date, time, or number Double-click the date picker, text box, or expression box whose formatting you want to remove. In the Control Properties dialog box, do one of the following: Click Format. In the Format dialog box, click None (display XML value).
The Changes pane shows only the most recent changes. To view changes over a longer period of time, use Version History by selecting File Info Version History and then select a version to preview it.
How to change date format in Excel Select the dates whose format your want to change, or empty cells where you want to insert dates. Press Ctrl+1 to open the Format Cells dialog. In the Format Cells window, switch to the Number tab, and select Date in the Category list. Under Type, pick a desired date format.
