whats up everybody welcome back to this episode a home-built workshop today Im gonna refinish my dining room table [Music] now this is not really a project that I was looking forward to or that I really even want to do it all Id rather just build a new one but my schedule does not allow for that kind of project at the moment I just cant quite squeeze the time needed to build a new table I will be doing that in the future at some point because I definitely want to do it but this old table is in really bad shape I have no idea what kind of finish is on this thing but it is peeling up and coming off and its really really in bad shape I got a dress this this is not really a high-quality table at all its fairly cheaply made but it serves its purpose at the moment until I get a chance to build a new one someone to see if I can clean up this finish and get it looking a little bit better and at least get a little bit more life out of it this is by no means a build video or a difficult p

By default, Time Machine backs up everything on your Mac, and all external drives connected to it (but not network drives mounted on the Mac). You can choose to which items get backed up to Time Machine. Click Options, then click the + button to navigate to folders that you want Time Machine to exclude from backups.
1. Format external hard drive for macOS Launch Disk Utility (Applications Utilities Disk Utility). Select the hard drive device and click Erase (erases everything, cannot be undone). Name your drive (e.g. Time Machine Backup), select the Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format, and click Erase.

In the search box on the taskbar, type restore files, and then select Restore your files with File History. Look for the file you need, then use the arrows to see all its versions. When you find the version you want, select Restore to save it in its original location.
The good news is that you dont have to devote an entire drive to Time Machine backups, although you may certainly choose to do so. macOS writes all the archived files related to Time Machine to locations within a folder called Backups. backupdb. Everything else on the drive gets ignored.
2. Active Backup for Business Agent Installation (Windows PC) Launch Active Backup for Business, select PC, then Add Device. Run the Installer and launch the application when its finished. Enter the IP address of your Synology NAS, username, and password.
How do I restore my Mac from an external hard drive? Hold down Command + R while your Mac is restarting to bring up the startup options screen. Click on Disk Utility and then click Continue. Select Restore from the top options and select your external hard drive as a source. Click Restore.
How do I backup my Mac without a Time Machine? Launch Disk Drill on your Mac. Select Byte-to-byte Backup from the left panel. Choose the drive or partition you want to back up. Click the Create backup button and select a target location where the data will be stored. Allow the process to complete.

Way 2. Manually Copying Files to External Drive Click Finder Preference and check the Hard disks under Show these items on the desktop. Open the external disk, then create a file folder and name it. Open the Mac disk, click the Users file folder, choose all files you want to back up, and drag them to the file folder.
