Scroll back up and click anywhere within the FIRST page of the letter. Click on Change Page Layout in the Related Actions menu on the left. Here you can change the Header (and Footer) distance then click OK. This will make that change for the FIRST page only.
In header/footer edit mode, hover your mouse pointer over the bottom/Top margin of the Header / Footer until it turns into the 2 headed arrow. Then you can click and drag the margin up/down.
Double-click on the header and hit the down arrow. If there are extra lines in the header, below the page number, delete them. Make sure there isnt extra space between your text and the top of the page. Double-click within the header or footer to edit them. Click the Design tab. See the below screenshot:
Double-click inside the header or footer area. Select the text you want to change and type your new header or footer in its place. Select Close Header and Footer or double-click anywhere outside of the header or footer area to exit.

Change the header and footer margin Click VIEW Ruler. Double-click the header or footer area. Press CTRL+A. On the ruler, drag the right indent marker.
