You group radio buttons by drawing them inside a container such as a Panel control, a GroupBox control, or a form. All radio buttons that are added directly to a form become one group. To add separate groups, you must place them inside panels or group boxes.
Once a radio button is checked, it cannot be marked as unchecked by user. RadioButton is generally used with RadioGroup. RadioGroup contains several radio buttons, marking one radio button as checked makes all other radio buttons as unchecked.
In Android, RadioButton are mainly used together in a RadioGroup. In RadioGroup checking the one radio button out of several radio button added in it will automatically unchecked all the others. It means at one time we can checked only one radio button from a group of radio buttons which belong to same radio group.
The ButtonGroup class creates a group in which you can add radio buttons. Of course, only one radio button in a button group can be selected at any time. Thus, selecting a radio button in a button group automatically deselects any other buttons in the group.
Once the radio group is created, selecting any radio button in that group automatically deselects any other selected radio button in the same group. A form can have a maximum of 50 radio buttons.
Radio buttons should always be aligned vertically so that the radio dial is aligned and labels are also aligned. In the event that a horizontal option is necessary, make sure that the radio button is aligned together, with the top of the label align horizontally as well, in the event the labels wrap.
The radio group is a container which is used to group radio buttons and whatever radio buttons we put inside this radio group, they are grouped together and the logic behind this grouping is that in this group, you will only be able to select one option out of multiple radio buttons.
Radio buttons should be used instead of checkboxes if only one item can be selected from a list. Radio buttons should be used instead of checkboxes if only one item can be selected from a list. DontDont use checkboxes when only one item can be selected from a list. Use radio buttons instead.
In a checkbox group, a user can select more than one option. Each checkbox operates individually, so a user can toggle each response on and off. Radio buttons, however, operate as a group and provide mutually exclusive selection values. A user can select only one option in a radio button group.
Usability guidance Use the label as a target. Users should be able to select either the text label or the radio button to select or deselect an option. List items vertically. Use adequate spacing. Set default values with caution. Dont mix default and tile variants. Use a logical order.
