You can request a copy of a marriage record online, by mail, or in person. If you submit your request online, you must still complete the application by mail or in person. The fee for a domestic marriage record (short certificate) is $15 and $10 for each additional copy.
In order to amend your marriage record you or your spouse, as applicable, must complete the attached form. It must be signed by both spouses and docHubd (only if being requested by mail). The fee for an amendment is $10.00 payable by money order to the Office of the City Clerk or credit card (in person only).
For members of the public, it is not possible to gain access to marriage records of any kind for free. However, one can obtain public marriage licenses or certificates for a small fee through the county clerks office in the county where the marriage occurred.
Processing time: Two weeks (delivery by regular mail can take an additional two weeks). Allow an additional two weeks for long form birth certificates, birth certificates from 1910 to 1919, death certificates from 1949 to 1970, or for any other record that requires searching.
