For Mac Stop any current printing process or print queue. Launch the Epson Printer Utility and run the dialogue box. Go to Driver Settings and then select Permit temporary black printing option. Click on Print Settings. Select Plain Paper as the media typesetting option. Select Grayscale. Click OK.
Go to your computer and click Print from the file that you wanted to print. Click on Properties and then the Color tab next. Select the Print in grayscale option by clicking on its checkbox. You can now start printing in black and white.

Printer cartridges can be replaced on an as needed basis! If one cartridge is running low, you do not have to replace the other colors at the same time. However, you do need to have all of the printer cartridges installed in the printer for it to work.
When you are finished replacing cartridges, close the cartridge cover and the printer cover. Press the OK button. The print head moves and the ink delivery system begins to charge. This process takes about two minutes to complete.
