Update your Federal EIN Go to Settings ​​⚙, then Payroll settings. In Federal tax, select Edit ✎. Update your Employer Identification Number (EIN). Select Save, then Done.

To make changes to your account: Download the Entity change packet and fill it out. Ensure you have the supporting documents mentioned in the packet. Send the packet with the following supporting documents by email to EntityChanges@intuit.com.

Change industry type of business Go to the Company menu at the top to choose My Company. Click the Pencil icon for Company Information to access the Report Information tab. From there, select the correct tax return used by the business. Click OK to save the changes.
Customize your invoices If you make a change, it applies to all invoices going forward. Sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed in a web browser. Select Invoices from the menu, then select Create invoice. You wont create an actual invoice, this just opens the customization window.
