Option 1: Apply the credit to an invoice Select Receive payment. Select the customer, then the credit and the invoice. Select another pending invoice and enter the overpayment amount in its Payment column. Select Save and new or Save and close.
Refund From Vendor For Overpayment Go to Vendors. Choose Vendor Center. Select the vendors name. Double-click the bill payment, bill or credit. Press Ctrl and D at the same time to delete. Select OK to confirm. Once deleted, lets record the vendor refund. Heres how: Click Banking. Choose Make Deposits.
From the Customers menu, click Create Invoices. Select the customer name in the Customer: Job field. Choose Minor Charge-Off in the Item field and enter the amount of overpayment. Click Apply Credits.
From the Vendors menu, select Pay Bills. Choose the bill that has the balance that you need to write off. Select Set Discount. Select the Discount tab. Enter the amount in the Amount of Discount field. Select Pay Selected Bills to close the Pay Bills window. Select Done in the Payment Summary window.
Heres how: From the Customers menu, select Create Credit Memos/Refunds. From the Customer:Job drop-down, select the customer name. Enter the items, then select Save Close. On the Available Credit window, select Apply to an invoice. Click OK. On the Apply Credit to Invoices window, select the transaction. Click Done.
getting rid of old accounts receivable and payable From the File menu, select Switch to Single-user mode. Go to the Accountant menu and select Batch Delete/Void Transactions. Choose the transactions you want to delete. Select Review Delete. Select Back Up Delete. Click Yes.
