Enable editing in your document Go to File Info. Select Protect document. Select Enable Editing.
Find the Track Changes button Once you open the Review tab, locate the Track Changes button. This often appears as an icon of a page with lines and a pencil on top of it, labeled Track Changes. Click on this button to open a list of Track Changes options.
Click the File tab. Click Info to view the document properties. To add or change properties, hover your pointer over the property you want to update and enter the information. Note that for some metadata, such as Author, youll have to right-click on the property and choose Remove or Edit.
Track Changes is locked and can only be disabled with the password. Also, you cannot accept or reject changes while Track Changes is locked. To unlock Track Changes, click the Track Changes button list arrow again, select Lock Tracking, enter the password, then click OK.
Go to Review Track Changes. In the Track Changes drop-down list, select one of the following: To track only the changes that you make to the document, select Just Mine. To track changes to the document made by all users, select For Everyone.
On the ribbon, select Insert Shapes. Pop Out at the top of the message to open a standalone window that includes the Insert tab.) From the Lines gallery, select the kind of line you want to draw.
Use Track Changes Select Review Track Changes to turn it on. Make edits in your document and Word captures any edits you make. Select Review Track Changes to turn it off. Word stops making new edits, and any made stay in the document.
Depending on the version of Word or Outlook youre using, you can insert a variety of objects (such as PDF files, Excel charts or worksheets, or PowerPoint presentations) into a Word document or an email message by linking or embedding them.
