Car scratches and scuffs are both types of abrasions that can occur on the painted surface of a vehicle. Scuffs are less severe and are classified as superficial, as they occur on the surface of the clear coat. Deeper scratches, on the other hand, penetrate the clear coat.
Mix water and baking soda to make a slightly runny paste; dampen a soft cloth or sponge with water and dip it in the paste so that a small amount is transferred to the cleaning tool. Use this to gently scrub away the scuff mark without scrubbing outside of the stain (as much as you possibly can).
Deep scratches in leather can often be repaired using a leather conditioner and fine sandpaper. First, identify the scratch. If it is on the surface of the leather, you may be able to repair it with a conditioner alone. If the scratch is more than superficial, use fine sandpaper to buff out the scratch.
Applying a basic conditioner may be all you need to do to fix minor scuffs. Leather conditioner is a moisturizer and just like moisturizing your skin, leather will absorb the moisturizer. Absorbing the moisturizer causes the leather to swell and that swelling will minimize the appearance of scuffs.
A pencil eraser works great for simple scuffs because the eraser itself is soft enough that it wont damage the leather. Apply moderate pressure and work the eraser across the scuff to remove the added material.
There are shoe care products known as renovator creams available that are designed for the purpose of fixing scuffs within leather shoes. A renovator cream is similar to a shoe polish but more viscous with restorative paste-like properties and is often viewed as a repair cream or shoe scuff remover.
Removing scuff marks from shoes can be done using common household items like baking soda, toothpaste or a pencil eraser. Gently scrub the scuff marks with the chosen method until they lift off, then wipe the shoes clean with a damp cloth.
Using a Magic Eraser can transform your white leather shoes and bring them back to their pristine condition. This handy tool effectively removes scuffs and marks with minimal effort. Start by purchasing a Magic Eraser from a local store or online. Gently wet the Magic Eraser with clean water, squeezing out any excess.
