hello everyone and welcome to my channel this video will show you how to open and view an xps file in windows 11 using the built-in xps viewer in windows without installing any third-party software in short the xps format is very similar to the pdf format and represents a consistent document across all platforms xps was not known to many users as an electronic document file type due to the difficulty of creating editing and even opening it if you share an xps document file with others the file will not work until after you download the xps viewer for example if you have a file like this and you want to open it in xps format you must first download a viewer for it to download xps viewer follow these steps open the start menu and then open the settings from the left menu select app then click on optional features on the right then click on the view features button next to add an optional feature in the add an optional feature window use the search bar to search for xps viewer select xps

XPS Viewer allows you to decide who can view, print, copy, or digitally sign an XPS document and how long a person can view or make changes to the document. It uses the Windows Rights Management Services technology to set document permissions.
Open the Control Panel and click on the Programs option. Select the Turn Windows features on or off option. The Windows Features window is opened. It might take a while until all features are loaded and listed.
Instructions Open the Windows 10 Settings application by clicking the gear icon in the Start menu. Click the Apps menu item. On the Apps Features tab click the Optional features link under Apps features Click the Add a feature button. Type XPS into the search bar. Click XPS Viewer from the list. Click .
Method 2: Uninstall XPS Viewer via Apps and Features/Programs and Features. Look for XPS Viewer in the list and click on it. The next step is to click on uninstall, so you can initiate the uninstallation.
PDFs, by contrast, can be updated using docHubs free online PDF editor. Not widely supported. XPS files are less compatible with most processors. If you want to open an XPS file, then youll need an XPS viewer.
On Windows 10 N: Select the Start button, then select Settings Apps Apps and Features Optional features Add a feature.
XPS Viewer, as mentioned above, is used to view XPS files. Apart from that, it also has a different feature: Converting XPS files to PDF.
In case you want to disable or enable XPS viewer, then you may open start and search for Turn Windows features on or off and from list you may uncheck or check box to enable or disable it.
