donamp;#39;t do this to insert a bullet point in excel do it automatically select a bullet point from your worksheet press ctrl and c to copy the bullet point then select the cells where you want to insert bullet points as you type right click select format cells and you will see this window from the number tab select custom leave general selected and in the type field before the g paste in your copy of your bullet point and after general enter a semicolon and a space repeat that three times and remove the semicolon from the last entry then click ok now as you type your data into each cell a bullet point will be automatically added thanks for watching bye

Select the cell where you want to add the bullet point. Press Alt + Enter to start a new line within the cell. Type =CHAR(149) to insert a bullet point (). Press Enter.
You can insert a bullet point in Excel using your keyboard only. All you need to do is to hold down the Alt button while typing in the corresponding code for the character. While holding the Alt key, press 7 to add a bullet point. Use Alt + 9 to place a hollow circle.
Insert Bullet Points in Excel Using the ALT key To insert bullet points using the ALT key, select the cell where you want to insert the bullet point. Now, hold the ALT key and press 7 (or) 9. Once you leave the ALT key, the bullet appears.
Heres a step-by-step guide: Place your cursor in the cell where you want to add a bullet point. Press and hold the Alt key. While holding Alt, press the 7 key on your numeric keypad (ensure that Num Lock is on). Release both keys, and the bullet point will appear in the cell.
Here is a list of steps using a plain filled dot (character code 149) as an example: Select the adjacent cells where you want to put your bullet points. Type =CHAR(149) into the formula bar. Press CTRL + Enter on your keyboard. This inserts the plain filled dot into the selected cells.
If you have a numeric keypad on the right side of your keyboard, press ALT+7 for a bullet. Different fonts provide different symbols. If your font does not provide the bullet, try selecting a font such as Wingdings in the Symbol dialog box. Then enter character code 159.
