So Pages, Numbers, and Keynote have a common history. They were all once part of the iWork app suite but now they are individual apps. However, they still have a lot in common. As a matter of fact they share a large common code base which means you can copy and paste between them. This can be quite handy if you need to move content from one to the other. For instance if youamp;#39;re working on some data in Numbers and you want to show it in a Keynote presentation or put it into a Pages document you can do that just by copying and pasting. So here I have a Keynote presentation opened up in Keynote. This window here is Numbers with a table and a chart. Here Iamp;#39;ve got a Pages document. For instance, letamp;#39;s say that this Pages document is my written report and I want to show a combination of graphics here in my Keynote presentation. So let me add a new slide here, a blank slide, and I will select these elements. Iamp;#39;ll hold the Shift key down and select multiple eleme

When you paste and match style, the pasted item matches the font, color, size, or other style of the surrounding content. Press Option-Shift-Command-V on your keyboard to paste the item you cut or copied. Or choose Paste and Match Style from the Edit menu in the menu bar.

Paste the text with its current formatting into a new paragraph: Choose Edit Paste, or press Command-V on the keyboard. Paste and match the style of the text where youre pasting: Choose Edit Paste and Match Style.
You can assign a shortcut key (F1F8 on your keyboard) to a paragraph, character, or list style, then use the shortcut key to apply the style to selected text. Note: To use shortcut keys on a Mac, press Fn with the shortcut key.
Tip: Use Alt+Ctrl+C to copy a format, and Alt+Ctrl+Vto paste a format. While the cursor does not change to a paintbrush, you can repeatedly select text and paste formatting to multiple areas without re-copying. To stop formatting, press ESC.
Choose Format Copy Style (from the Format menu at the top of your screen). Select other text where you want to apply the style, or place the insertion point in text, then choose Format Paste Style.
You can right-click on the target document and choose Paste and Match Style from the list. Or you can use the standard keyboard shortcut Command + Option + Shift + V, which involves both remembering the combination and some digit dexterity.
