To enroll a brand, you will need to provide the following information: Your brand name that has an active registered or pending trademark; the trademark for your brand must appear on your products or packaging and you must provide images that depict this.
View the listing on the Product Listings page (Inactive, Active, or Ineligible tab). Under Actions, click Edit Assigned ASIN. This action opens the Product Listing Update page. For Assign ASIN, enter the new ASIN value.
Kindly note that we ask sellers to create new ASINs to re-brand. You will not be able to change from generic to your brand name. Please see the help page and look at the details under Policies for editing detail pages. Best regards and have a good weekend.
You need to obtain a Letter of Authorization from each Brand that states that you may sell their products on Amazon. You will also need valid Manufacturer or Verified Suppliers invoice.
The companys trademark is a legal protection given to a company or brand. Note that registering business names is an important first step in branding a company; however, registering a business does not provide unlimited brand names or legal protection if others try to use the name for their own business.
A brand name is not protected legally and can be used by any person. Whereas a trademark is legally protected and cannot be used by another person. Now that you know the difference between a brand and a trademark, you can go ahead and get your trademark registered.
To enroll in Brand Registry, you must have a registered trademark or a pending application (check out Amazons IP Accelerator to get access to a network of vetted IP law firms). If your trademark application is pending, you can still apply for Brand Registry.
Generic products are unbranded products that do not belong to any identifiable brand, and should use the string generic for the brand name field when creating a new listing.
