now lets talk about graphing logarithmic functions lets go over the four basic shapes so lets say if you have log x where x and y are both positive kind of like what we did in the last lesson in this case the graph is going to travel towards quadrant one logarithmic functions are basically the inverse of an exponential function exponential functions contain a horizontal asymptote logarithmic functions contain a vertical asymptote exponential functions they increase at an increase in rate logarithmic functions they increase at a decrease in rate so lets say if we were to put 2 to the x and log to the x on the same graph this is the basic curve of 2 to the x and the graph log base 2 dx looks like this im going to highlight it in blue these two functions are inverse functions an inverse function reflects across the line y equals zero with its counterpart so lets say this is f this is the inverse of f they reflect about the line y equals x now what is the graph of log of negative x

What is Log Transformation? Log transformation is a data transformation method in which it replaces each variable x with a log(x). The choice of the logarithm base is usually left up to the analyst and it would depend on the purposes of statistical modeling.
During log transformation, the dark pixels in an image are expanded as compare to the higher pixel values. The higher pixel values are kind of compressed in log transformation. This result in following image enhancement.
Once you upload your photo, you can access a variety of effects options. Tap on "Effects" and choose the "Invert" option to watch your photo's colors change to their inverted versions. This easy process only takes seconds!
Image negative is produced by subtracting each pixel from the maximum intensity value. For example in an 8-bit grayscale image, the max intensity value is 255, thus each pixel is subtracted from 255 to produce the output image.
When our original continuous data do not follow the bell curve, we can log transform this data to make it as “normal” as possible so that the statistical analysis results from this data become more valid . In other words, the log transformation reduces or removes the skewness of our original data.
How to invert an image? Open Raw.pisc.io. Add pictures you want to invert. Press Edit on the left toolbar. Click Invert to start invert tool. Invert picture & see the result in a matter of mere seconds. Save the inverted image and download it to your device.
The log transformation can be defined by this formula = c*log(1+r) where s and r are the pixel values of the output and the input image and c is a constant.
negative, photographic image that reproduces the bright portions of the photographed subject as dark and the dark parts as light areas. Negatives are usually formed on a transparent material, such as plastic or glass.
Image negative is produced by subtracting each pixel from the maximum intensity value. e.g. for an 8-bit image, the max intensity value is 28– 1 = 255, thus each pixel is subtracted from 255 to produce the output image.
The transform function, T(r), compresses the input levels below and above the threshold into a narrow range of darker levels (lower pixel count) and brighter levels (higher pixel count) and thereby improves contrast (4).
