You can open the Texture Editor by double-clicking a Texture asset in the Content Browser , or by right-clicking a Texture asset, and then clicking Edit on the context menu.
Select the desired textured object(s). On the Render tab of the Object Info palette, click the arrow next to the texture name to open the Texture menu. Select Edit (Shader Name) Shader to directly edit one of the shaders that makes up the applied texture.
If you open the assets folder, and then the minecraft folder, and then select textures, you will find yourself presented with several folders containing Minecrafts textures, which you can copy and edit to your hearts content. Blocks contains all block textures. Entity contains all mob and entity textures.
