sometimes when youamp;#39;re writing code in python you want to convert a number to binary fortunately thereamp;#39;s a function that does that for us in python we can say x is equal to bin this is the binary number function this takes in a number and converts it to binary so if i print out x iamp;#39;ll actually get a string that represents the binary number now notice it always starts with zero b if you want to remove this zero b then you can take a slice of this so two colon that will strip off the first two characters now you just have the binary number now in case you want to go from binary back to decimal you can do the following y is equal to and then int and you can pass in your binary number make sure you do not have the zero b on it though you take the slice and then you put two here this represents that youamp;#39;re going to use a base two numbering system and so when you go here and you print out y then you will get 162 back hopefully this was helpful if it was follow

How to Convert Text to Binary Get character. Get decimal code of character from ASCII table. Convert decimal to binary byte. Continue with next character.
Converting a decimal number to binary is popularly done by dividing the digit by 2 and writing out the remainder aside. By repeatedly dividing a number by two and recording the result, decimal values can be transformed into binary. Divide the number by 2. Get the integer quotient for the next iteration.
0.75=12+14=1121+1122. The decimal number 0.75 is written as 0.11 in binary.
Uppercase letters start with 010 and lowercase letters start with 011. The letter a is 01100001. From there, count the number of the letter and write that number in binary. For example, the letter d is the fourth letter (100), which is written as 01100100 in binary.
To manually convert an ASCII character to binary: Determine the characters ASCII decimal value. Convert the decimal value to binary by dividing it by two and noting the remainders until you get to zero. To obtain the binary representation, read the remainders from bottom to top.
To convert integer to binary, start with the integer in question and divide it by 2 keeping notice of the quotient and the remainder. Continue dividing the quotient by 2 until you get a quotient of zero. Then just write out the remainders in the reverse order. Here is an example of such conversion using the integer 12.
To convert a decimal number to binary, you need to follow these steps: Divide the decimal number by 2 and write down the integer result (ignore the remainder). Repeat step 1 with the integer result until you get 0. Write down the remainders (in reverse order) of each division as 0 or 1 to get the binary equivalent.
A code where each number represents a character can be used to convert text into binary. One code we can use for this is called ASCII. A 7-bit character set used for representing English keyboard characters.. The ASCII code takes each character on the keyboard and assigns it a binary number.
