To remove the name of the author in your Microsoft Word documents, first right click on the document and choose its properties. Then, go to the top menu bar, select the option details, and choose remove properties and personal information. In the new window that appears, select the option to remove the following properties, where you can choose to remove the author, last saved file, and other information from your Word documents. Simply select the information you want to remove and click OK to save the changes. You can also remove other information besides the author in this process.
