To create a hyperlink: Select the text or object that you want to use as a hyperlink. Click the Insert tab, then Hyperlink. Complete the details for your link destination and click OK. Edit or remove a hyperlink: Select Edit Hyperlink or Remove Hyperlink from the shortcut menu.
Links to a web address or email can added to a LaTeX file using the \url command to display the actual link or \href to use a hidden link and show a word/sentence instead. There are two commands in the example that generate a link in the final document: \href{}{Something Linky}
Steps to make clickable links are as follows: Include hyperref package into your document preamble using the command \usepackage{hyperref}. hyperref package will enable you to add links with the description of your choice as well as to set URLs into your LaTeX document.
You can then use the following commands in your LaTeX document: \cite{label} To insert a citation where label is the label of a bibliographic entry in a . \bibliography{bibfilename} To insert a bibliography where bibfilename is the name of a . \bibliographystyle{bstfilename}
Manual installation Download the hyperref files from CTAN or the TUG server. If necessary, unpack them. Generate the package and driver files: tex hyperref.ins. the files *. sty , *. Copy the documentation files to TDS:doc/latex/hyperref/ : hyperref-doc. Update the databases if necessary, eg.
Summary Add the hyperref package to your preamble. Links will show up in a colored box which will be invisible when you print it. Use \href{URL}{DESCRIPTION} to add a link with description. Use \url{URL} to add a link without a description.
How Do You Hyperlink in Latex? You can add a hyperlink into your LaTeX article using the command \usepackage{hyperref} and then including the command \href{YOUR URL}{TEXT FOR YOUR HYPERLINK}.
Include \usepackage{hyperref} in the preamble of your document. Assign proper labels to your sections and reference these labels using \ref{} . These references will then be turned into clickable links when creating PDFs with pdflatex. Note that to use hyperref, you cant have the draft option in your documentclass !
Usually the second line in the author tag is for the authors address and affiliation which may include the email address. Sometimes, the email address is rather put into a footnote (e.g. with the \thanks{} tag inside the \author{} tag).
url = {}, gives a clickable url in your bibliography. note = {\href{}{my text for the link which can break across lines}}, which gives a link which has different text from the link.
