Select the text to change to a link, choose Edit > Add Link or Format > Add Link, then type or paste the URL.
Method 1 Start Character Map. In the Font box, click the font you want to use. Click the special character that you want to insert, click Select, and then click Copy. In your document, position the insertion point where you want the special character to appear. On the Edit menu, click Paste.
Enter special characters and symbols Click in the text where you want to place the character, then choose Edit > Emoji & Symbols (or press Control-Command-Space bar). The Character Viewer appears where you clicked. You can drag it to the desktop if you want to keep it open as you work.

Control-click an object, text box, or selected text you want to turn into a link, choose Add Link, then choose a destination (Webpage, Email, Phone Number, Page, or Bookmark).
