you may have encountered losing texture problem when you try to join objects in blender in this short video you will find a solution way for this problem lets get started [Music] this character model has different parts we can select them separately each part has different textures we want to join these objects and make single mesh lets hit the a key and select all objects then press ctrl j and join them together as you can see the textures have disappeared to fix this problem lets press ctrl z and undo back to the separated objects click on the object data properties tab and go to uv maps section select the any part of the character you will see the uv map which belongs to selected part of the character here now select the other part of the character as you have noticed they have different uv names the problem is caused by these different uv map names lets rename all parts with the same uv map name now lets select all objects and join them together again there we go the problem
