welcome back guys welcome to your 43rd tutorial and in this story Iamp;#39;m gonna be talking about another form element and this element is actually called a text area now a text area the most simple way I can put it is you know those single line text fields that we had before itamp;#39;s just a big text field now what is the point of having you know a text area then well certain times when youamp;#39;re making forms youamp;#39;re going to kind of want to push your user in leaving more than a single line of text for example if they were like on a dating website and they need to leave a biographer your about themselves or maybe theyamp;#39;re posting an ad on eBay and they need to write a description about their item this takes more than a single line of text so whenever you want the user to enter like one word give them a single line of text but whenever you want to have them enter like a couple paragraphs youamp;#39;re gonna need to give them a text area so thatamp;#39;s where

Disadvantages of XHTML Very few browsers use XHTML. Case sensitive as every part of code should be in lowercase. It is mandatory to write DOCTYPE declaration. And all the tags must be closed in the necessary order.
XHTML was developed to make HTML more extensible and flexible to work with other data formats (such as XML). In addition, browsers ignore errors in HTML pages, and try to display the website even if it has some errors in the markup. So XHTML comes with a much stricter error handling.
XHTML tags must be closed with a closing tag or a trailing slash. Examples: Some text, . In HTML, closing tags and trailing slashes are not required (but they are acceptable). XHTML does not permit overlapping nested tag structures.
The major disadvantage of XML is that it generates large files. With it being a plain text format, it is not memory efficient to start with, then with all of the additional tags around the actual data, files can become extremely large. In many cases, the tags can take up more room than the actual data!
XHTML - Syntax Write a DOCTYPE declaration at the start of the XHTML document. Write all XHTML tags and attributes in lower case only. Close all XHTML tags properly. Nest all the tags properly. Quote all the attribute values. Forbid Attribute minimization. Replace the name attribute with the id attribute.
Disadvantages of HTML Static Nature. HTML is a static language. Complexity in Structure. Creating and maintaining the structure of HTML documents is complex, mainly for large-scale projects. Limited Security. HTML alone does not provide strong security features. Code Length.
Disadvantages. There are no such direct disadvantages, but we will say there are a few limitations: It does not solve all cross-browser combability issues. It isnt easy to begin as it is stricter, and sometimes you must think while developing new element names.
XHTML documents must use lower case for all HTML element and attribute names. This difference is necessary because XML is case-sensitive e.g. and are different tags.
