From within Word, you can assign a keyboard shortcut to the Quick Part via File Options Customize Ribbon Customize. Choose the Building Blocks category in the dialog box and locate your entry. Use the Press new shortcut key box to assign the shortcut, and then click the Assign button.
Insert a Building Block Click the Quick Parts button on the Insert tab. Select Building Blocks Organizer. Sort the building blocks by name, gallery, or category by clicking the column headers. Select a building block. Click Insert.
The Insert tab contains various items that you may want to insert into a document. These items include such things as tables, word art, hyperlinks, symbols, charts, signature line, date time, shapes, header, footer, text boxes, links, boxes, equations and so on.
Building blocks are stored in templates. By default, the templates that are included with Word have building block categories like General and Built-In.
On the Insert tab, click Shapes. Click the shape you want, click anywhere in the workspace, and then drag to place the shape. To create a perfect square or circle (or constrain the dimensions of other shapes), press and hold Shift while you drag.
The Insert tab has seven groups of related commands; Pages, Tables, Illustrations, Links, Header Footer, Text and Symbols.
Click where you want to insert the building block. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Quick Parts, and then click Building Blocks Organizer. If you know the name of the building block, click Name to sort by name. Click Insert.
The insert menu is used to place various objects into your document, such as page numbers, pictures, symbols, comments and other objects. Commands include break, date and time, field, symbol, reference, web component, text box, file and hyperlink.
