Simply follow the four steps below: Launch Word and open your document. Select the Insert tab from the top toolbar. Select Page Number in the Header and Footer section. Select a numbering style from the dropdown menu.
Go to Insert Page Numbers. Select a position (left, center, or right, and header or footer). Select Include Page Count to show total number of pages too, such as page 7 of 9.
Insert page numbers On the Insert tab, select. If you dont want a page number to appear on the first page, select Different First Page.
