The Insert tab contains various items that you may want to insert into a document. These items include such things as tables, word art, hyperlinks, symbols, charts, signature line, date time, shapes, header, footer, text boxes, links, boxes, equations and so on.
The Text Tool allows you to insert editable text into your project. This means that you can format the text once youve put it into your Text Box. You can choose the font style and size, adjust the color, align your text, apply super and subscripts, as well as use bold and italics options.
On the INSERT tab, you can add pictures, shapes, SmartArt graphics, tables, and more to take your document to the next level.
Turn on Overtype mode In the Word Options dialog box, choose Advanced. Under Editing options, do one of the following: To use Insert key to control Overtype mode, select the Use Insert key to control overtype check box. To keep Overtype mode enabled always, select the Use overtype mode check box.
Insert is a Power Query M function that inserts a new text value into an existing text value at a specified position. It returns the modified text value enriched with the new text.
The INSERT( ) function inserts specified characters or spaces into a character string, beginning at a specified position in the string.
On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Text Box. In the worksheet, click and drag to draw the text box the size that you want. To add text, click inside the box and type or paste your text.
The insert command is generally used to add new data, not replace existing data. However, in certain contexts like text editing, the insert key toggles between overtype mode (which replaces existing text) and insert mode (which adds new text).
