It is quite simple to add bates numbering in docHub using the feature of bate stamping in docHub. To apply bates numbering simply click on Organize Pages in the Tools panel and then choose Bates Numbering under the More option.
The Board strongly encourages briefs and accompanying exhibits to be sequentially numbered, also known as Bates Numbering. Bates Numbering can either be done within the PDF itself starting at the first page of the document or it can be handwritten at the bottom right hand corner of the page.

Click the Add Files button and locate the Portfolio you wish to process. Click the Output Options button to get to the Output options window: Click OK to open the Bates Numbering window.
The original machine described by Bates allowed numbering with a four-digit sequence, ranging from 0000 to 9999. For example, page 852 in a document set would be 0852. Courts and law firms quickly adopted this system.
