The main alloying elements are chromium nickel and copper with added phosphorous which gives it excellent self protecting qualities.
It contains 6568%Mn, 12.518.5%Si, and 1.53%C. As in chromium ferroalloys, a high silicon content lowers carbon in manganese alloys.
Traditionally, gold has been the material of choice for Inlays and Onlays. In recent years, however, porcelain has become increasingly popular due to its strength and color, which can potentially match the natural color of your teeth.
RA 602 CA is one of the most oxidation resistant high strength nickel heat resistant alloys available. High chromium, aluminum, and an yttrium addition permit it to develop a tight chromium oxide scale with an alumina subscale.
Alloy 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron solid solution strengthened alloy with a nominal chemical composition of 72% nickel, 16% chromium, and 8% iron. It is commonly referred to by the tradename Inconel 600 and the universal designation UNS N06600.
You can think of inlays and onlays as such: Both repair the tooths surface that is meant for chewing, but each is responsible for covering a different part of that surface. For example, the inlay covers the pits and fissures between cusps while onlays cover the cusps themselves.
Alloy 602 CA is a high-carbon nickel-chromium-iron alloy with additions of the micro-alloying elements titanium and zirconium together with aluminum and yttrium. It is normally supplied in the solution-annealed condition with an oxidized or descaled surface.
