I wouldnamp;#39;t recommend playing very valuable records on these cheap turntables, but otherwise you shouldnamp;#39;t be afraid to use them. The most important thing is to keep your records clean, because dust in the grooves will increase the amount of wear when theyamp;#39;re played, and also remember to replace your stylus before it gets worn out. A vinyl record is made up of three main components: a disc, a spindle hole, and ridges or grooves. The disc is usually made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and is 12 inches in diameter. The spindle hole is located in the middle of the disc and is used to attach the record to the record players spindle.
The terms EP and LP were originally referencing this capacity. EP stands for Extended Play, and one would usually comprise a collection of 4 6 tracks, with a playtime of around 20 minutes. LP stands for Long Play, and one could feature 10 12 tracks and be double the length.
