Got questions?

Below are some common questions from our customers that may provide you with the answer you're looking for. If you can't find an answer to your question, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

What about the Body and Fret Wood? The body and fret board affect the tone of acoustic and electric guitars in the same way that the neck wood does. It really comes down to how dense the wood is. The denser the wood, the brighter the tone will be, and the less sustain it'll have.
How do I peel off inlay stickers? -- Inlay Stickers are removal so you can peel them off easily in the same way as usual decals. Please carefully peel them away from the edge. It'd be better if you can warm up the stickers with a heated cloth first.
If you want to remove inlays, heat them with a soldering iron until the glue melts, then they should pop out. You're almost guaranteed to damage the inlays, but the board will remain intact. Obviously, only do this if you can route for and the new inlays, then re-radius your fingerboard.
Using a razor blade you should be able to lift up the stickers without knicking the fretboard. Just go slow! Try a little heat first. I've had great luck with a hair dryer to warm the sticker and then gently working underneath a corner to peel up the sticker as the adhesive softens.
So what do the white dots on a guitar mean? The short answer is that the dots or markers are there to show the positions on your fretboard. These markers make it easy for you to locate these positions when you are playing the guitar.
The 12th fret and 24th frets of a guitar are octaves of the open string you're playing on. For this reason, having two dots on these particular frets makes for an easy reference point. For example, the 12th fret on an E string is also E. After that, the cycle of notes repeats itself.
Although inlay can be done on any part of a guitar, it is most commonly found on the fretboard, headstock—typically the manufacturer's logo—and around the sound hole of acoustic guitars.
If you want to remove inlays, heat them with a soldering iron until the glue melts, then they should pop out. You're almost guaranteed to damage the inlays, but the board will remain intact. Obviously, only do this if you can route for and the new inlays, then re-radius your fingerboard.
You can use a (slightly) pointed wood drill and select the corresponding diameter to your inlay dot. Preferably, you don't want to have the point of your drill going through the fretboard, although it doesn't really matter as you can will be gluing it to your neck anyway, but still try to avoid it.
The dots on a guitar fretboard are helpful indicators for musicians to know which notes they are playing on the fretboard. The dots follow the same pattern for the majority of guitars, so once you've learned to work with this pattern on one guitar, you will find them helpful on almost every guitar you pick up.
