this episode of our xml journey is about xml comments alright so again let us begin by pointing out that xml files are intended for consumption by both man and machine and so this is the reason why some parts of our xml files we put them in primarily for computer consumption while others are for and foremost intended for the benefit of its human nature audience now during our previous MySQL journey we forged a setup file which ultimately took care of creating our tables inserting records specifying constraint and index structures right right but what else did we place inside our MySQL setup file besides the sequel statements themselves well comments of course so the way one can create comments on the my SQL and also on the bash command line is by using the waffled character to mark the line from that character onward as being a comment which can safely be ignored by the command interpreter in other words comments are essentially uninteresting to the computer but we as humans can profit
