this is activity 1-1 creating a running total field now our crystal reports is open here you can see and i have opened the rt saddle sales report and iamp;#39;m in design due now before we do anything we should of course make sure that we have connectivity to the data source so iamp;#39;m just going to refresh this here and iamp;#39;m saying okay and i get results so we have got a connection now with that said notice the sheet i see quantity i see quantity i see quantity and i can move along to different pages and i see quantity but what i want to see is a running total so how do i do that well letamp;#39;s go back to design when weamp;#39;re back into design over along the side youamp;#39;ll notice we have an entry for running total fields but before you do that what are you going to total what field are you going to total on there may be some data sources that there are several things that you want to total on but weamp;#39;re just going to come across here and select our runn

How to change the name of a Crystal Report Go to File, Summary Info. On the Summary tab, type in the new name of the report in the Title: section. Click on OK. Save the report.
To add a field heading Right-click in the embedded SAP Crystal Reports Designer, point to Insert and click Text Object. Place the text object in the Page Header section and align the object frame above the desired field object. Double-click the text object to place the insertion point inside the object frame.
When you find the field you want to add, do one of the following to add it to the form or report: Double-click the field. Drag the field from the Field List pane to the form or report. Hold the CTRL key and click several fields, and then drag them all to the form or report at the same time.
Creating a TTX file in Crystal Report TTX file defines the fields. The names of these fields should be the same as of the names of the Properties that user wants to display in the report. The name of the TTX file should be the same as of the name of Class. One TTX file defines for one Class only.
If the field explorer is not displayed it can be added by clicking on the view menu and selecting field explorer. It is necessary to ensure that the design tab is selected before adding fields to the report. The fields can be displayed by dropping down the database tree in the field explorer.

Getting Page Header to appear in sub-reports In the subreport, create a formula: Go to the Insert menu and click Group. Select the Repeat Group Header on Each New Page option, and click OK. Go to Report menu and click Group Expert.
Drag and drop a field from the Field Explorer dialog box to a blank area within the Details section of the report. Note: Fields already included in the report will have a checkmark appearing before the field name in the Field Explorer dialog box.
