Using the Current date() function to display the current date of that day. This function is called without passing any parameters. As a result, it returns the date manipulated from the System time, i.e., gives out a constant value.
What Is a Data Type in an XML Document? A data type within an XML document is a type that has been assigned to an element on the instance using the dt:dt attribute, or through an XML Schema, a formal definition of an XML document. In addition, data types can be declared as elements.
Date Simple Type This simple type is a union of the various XML Schema date formats. Using this type, a date can be expressed as a year (YYYY), a year and month (YYYY-MM), a date (YYYY-MM-DD) or a complete date and time (YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss).
The dateTime is specified in the following form YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss where: YYYY indicates the year.
For the date dataType, the following three formats (based on the canonical ISO date format) are supported: YYYY-MM-DD (example: 1997-10-24) YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS (example: 1997-10-24 12:00:00) YYYY-MM-DDTHH24:MI:SS.
The dateTime is specified in the following form YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss where: YYYY indicates the year. MM indicates the month. DD indicates the day. T indicates the start of the required time section. hh indicates the hour. mm indicates the minute. ss indicates the second.
Overview of date and time formats The dates appear as, mm/dd/yyyy in the U.S. and as, dd/mm/yyyy outside the U.S. where mm is the month, dd is the day, and yyyy is the year. The time is displayed as, hh:mm:ss AM/PM, where hh is the hour, mm is minutes, and ss is seconds.
