All you have to do is label the part of the document you want to reference, and then refer to this label when you want to cross-reference it[Referring to labels in other documents]. LaTeX will then determine the correct number that needs to be inserted at that point.
Again, the commands \label and \ref are used for references. The label is set after the \section statement, i.e. the \label command should be added after the counter number for the section has been generated. This also works on chapters, subsections and subsubsections. See Sections and chapters.
In LaTeX you can easily reference a section by using \label{} next to a section and then \ref{} to create the reference. However, the reference only includes the number of the section, or the page with \pageref{} .
Including images in your LaTeX document requires adding: \usepackage{graphicx} to the beginning/preamble of your document. \includegraphics{ } command tells LaTeX to insert the image. To upload an image, click the upload button, and upload your image file.
You can define a title for your document using \title{} and then create the title itself using \maketitle . You can also add other information such as the author(s) and the date, e.g. Note the use of \today to automatically insert the date you created the document.
To cross-reference multiple labels of the same or different kinds, the \cref command is used. Labels are separated by commas without white-space ( \cref{ref1,ref2,etc.} ). For a range of the same label kind, the command \crefrange{first}{last} is available.
\input is a more lower level macro which simply inputs the content of the given file like it was copypasted there manually. \include handles the file content as a logical unit of its own (like e.g. a chapter) and enables you to only include specific files using \includeonly{filename,filename2,} to save times.
Try adding the lipsum package to your preamble ( \usepackage{lipsum} ) and issue a \lipsum after the \maketitle . This should output a few paragraphs of blind text, which should push the title up.
The easiest way to refer to all types of lists, is to use the packages enumitem and enumitem-zref. Then you may refer to all three types of list. If you want to refer items in a bullet list, you have to set up enumitem-zref correctly.
Now in a similar way to the title page well add in some custom titles and then the abstract text. \thispagestyle{plain} \begin{center} \Large \textbf{Thesis Title} \vspace{0.4cm} \large Thesis Subtitle \vspace{0.4cm} \textbf{Author Name} \vspace{0.9cm} \textbf{Abstract} \end{center} Lorem ipsum dolor
