Hide grade categories and grade items On the course home page, click Grades. In the Manage Grades area, click on the item or category you want to hide. In the Restrictions tab, select Hide this grade item from the General section. Click Save and Close.
To move a course on your Dashboard in Canvas, simply click it and drag it to the new location. To hide the course it so it doesnt show on your Dashboard, click the 3 dots on it, click the Move tab, and select Unfavorite then click Submit.

By default, the policy is set to automatic for the course, which means students see their grade as soon as it is entered for assignments. When the courses posting policy is changed to manual, grades are hidden from students and remain hidden until the instructor posts grades for a particular assignment.
