Can I change my status from F-1 to work visa?

The only form you must use to change your status from F1 to H-1B is Form I-129. How do I extend my F-1 status?

You may only renew your F-1 visa at a U.S. embassy or consular office outside of the United States. Contact the U.S. embassy/consulate, generally in your home country, to set up an appointment. The wait time for an appointment and for visa issuance varies.

How long does SEVIS data fix take?

Correction requests are often resolved within 30 days. However, at times, the SEVIS Help Desk will adjudicate a correction request sooner.
