gday there everyone Daniel Anderson here welcome back to another training episode and I know this one is going to bring you some value today were going to be taking a look at conditional formulas in Microsoft list columns to be able to show or hide certain columns based on the values of a different column in the in the forms um now this has been uh look its been something and a feature that people have wanted for such a long time and it used to have to have you know some type of of custom form development or something like that now what you can actually do in Microsoft lists now is edit the forms themselves in the browser write some formulas and show or hire different columns so think about columns that are really for office use only or you know things like that then we can uh you know write a little formula and show or hide those to the users so that they cant see them cant edit them or cant add content to them based on values in another column so lets just dive in and have a l

if a column is grayed out, it means, the column is not used anywhere and option Hide All Unused field is selected along with option Show Hidden field. Just un-check the Show Hidden Field option.
Hiding unused fields in Tableau Simply right click on the field and select Hide. Note, you can quickly hide all the unused fields by selecting Hide All Unused Fields on the drop-down menu at the top right corner of the data pane.
To hide or show field labels, select Analysis Table Layout Show Field Labels for Rows or Show Field Labels for Columns.
Option 2: Create a Calculated Field Select Analysis Create Calculated Field. Name the field as desired. Place the following formula into the formula window: IIF([measure]=0, Exclude, Include) Click OK. Place newly created calculated field on the Filters shelf. Select desired filter option, Exclude or Include.
Hide or unhide all sheets To hide all of a dashboard or storys sheets, right-click (Windows) or Control-click (macOS) the dashboards tab at the bottom of the screen, and select Hide All Sheets. You can later select Unhide All Sheets if needed.
Simply select the fields you want to hide then right-click and select Hide from the menu.

Hover the cursor over the dimension value you want to hide. Right-click on the dimension value. Select Hide.
