Hey, friends welcome to the YouTube channel ALL ABOUT ELECTRONICS. So in this video, we will learn, how to perform binary addition and the subtraction. So as we have seen in the previous videos, all the digital circuits, for example computers, works on the binary number system. And therefore, all the arithmetic operations, like addition and the subtraction, are performed in the binary number system. So from the digital circuit perspective, it is good to understand, how these arithmetic operations are performed. And first of all, let us understand how to perform the binary addition. So following are the rules for the binary addition. So in the binary the 0 plus 0 is equal to 0. Similarly 0 plus 1 is equal to 1, while 1 plus 0 is equal to 1. And likewise 1 plus 1 is equal to 0, with 1 as a carry to the next column. So in the decimal number system, this 1 plus 1 is equal to 2. right? And the binary equivalent of the 2 is equal to 1 0. So in the binary, when w

Binary addition refers to the process of adding two binary numbers together, similar to decimal addition. It involves carrying over the 2s digit to the next column if the sum of two numbers is greater than 1. This process can result in overflow if the result exceeds the available number of digits.
Binary is a numbering system made up of the digits 0 and 1. In computing, these two digits are the basis of the binary code that computer systems use to communicate commands or data.
To read binary, find a number that you want to read, and remember to count the places from right to left. Then, multiply each digit by 2 to the power of its place number. For example, if the 3rd place from the right is a 1, you would multiply 1 by 2 to the power of 3 to get 8.
A binary number system is one of the four types of number system. In computer applications, where binary numbers are represented by only two symbols or digits, i.e. 0 (zero) and 1(one). The binary numbers here are expressed in the base-2 numeral system. For example, (101)2 is a binary number.
A fixed-point binary number may need to be stored in a given number of bits called the word length. Some of the bits in the word would be used for the integer part and the rest of them for the fractional part. In addition, a bit would also be used to signify the sign of the number.
Consider a floating-point variable, : Step 1: Calculate 2 , where F is the fractional length of the variable. Note that is represented in decimal. Step 2: Round the value of to the nearest integer value. For example : 3.56 4 1.9 2 1.5 2 Step 3: Convert from decimal to binary representation and name the new variable .
Why Is Binary Important? Binary plays a critical role in computing because it allows computers to store and manipulate data using a system of switches that can be turned on or off, represented by the digits 0 and 1 . This binary code can represent any type of data, from text and numbers to images and sound.
The binary number system is the base of all computing systems and operations. It enables devices to store, access and manipulate all types of information directed to and from the CPU or memory.
