How to open RPT file in WIndows 11/10 PDF or Portable Document Format is one of the universally accepted document formats. Browse to the location where file is saved, right-click it and select Open with Notepad. This can be done directly in Windows, without downloading any additional program or software.
Under DATABASE select SET DATASOURCE LOCATION, not Database Expert where you remove a database. From the Set Datasource Location dialogue you can update an existing source with a new source (e.g. swap one existing SP in the report for another SP not in the report) without removing anything.
Resolution In Crystal Reports, open the report. Under the menu Database select Verify Database. The Verify Database window appears with the message: The database file has changed. Click Ok. Now, in the Field Explorer window, you will see the new added fields.
1) open the subreport in design view (right-click - edit subreport) 2) go to Database, Set Location 3) pick the new stored procedure to replace the existing one. Done, although you may want to use Set Alias too so the old name doesnt persist in formulas.
Using a Command you can edit the SQL in code and using a Command Parameter would allow you to change the table name at runtime. Table must exactly match the original as noted above. You can recreate the report, have 2 CR Designers open and then copy and paste from one Designer to other for the new report.
Goto SE11 -- Enter Z table name -- Select Menu path Dictionary Object - COPY. give new table name. Save and Activate new table. You may delete old table if not required.
It is not possible to rename the table name.. better way is to copy it into another and delete the original as you told
Refresh the Crystal Report Select Report, Refresh Report Data from the menu bar. The message Refresh Report Data? appears. Click OK. Allow the report to process.
From the Crystal Reports menu, click Check for Updates. The Update Service launches, and then checks for updates. You can accept or reject any available update.
In most cases, RPT stands for report. A file with a RPT file extension will likely contain some report data. RPT files are often created by some version of SAP Crystal Reports, though it may simply contain ASCII text data, or it may be created by some other company and contain some other proprietary report format.
