hello everybody in this video im going to show you how to format the axis on your chart in excel to show the dates correctly so sometimes when you look at the axis you will see that the units are in numbers and people are asking how do i change this and convert it in months and days now there is a bug in excel when you use a scatter chart this is a scatter chart then you will get this bug and you will see numbers instead of dates so what we need to do is you just go to the chart design and you change the chart from scatter to line and then you can choose for example line with markers and then you will have the option suddenly for dates so lets say we set our bounds from january to december and then we set the major month one so we we have a data point for each month then you get this so now we have a data point for each month from january to december and you can play with this you can set here category date you can change the type of the dates and this is how you fix this bug its r
