[Music] [Music] now this palm coda sill i feel very close to uh its set on the clarence river where i grew up and uh it foreshadows the distribution of my ashes i i wrote it about 25 years ago and its becoming more relevant now as time goes on and the clarence river where i grew up is a very beautiful place its not in the lower part of the river higher up with rapids and pools and uh beautiful grazing country and mountains as well thats just a stunning piece of landscape which i like but i dont want to work on so this is called codicil and then when youve acquired the ashes that crushed white gravel in a box carry them north to the clarence river a two-day trip to close the curve late spring or early summer october might be best and check before you leave its not in flood the time i think might be say five oclock just when the shade comes off the mountain the water will be almost still a deep unending green with one faint indecisive breeze to bend the surface slightly the heat

Undue Influence, Forgery, or Fraud Another common reason that a codicil may be invalid is undue influence. This occurs when a third party manipulates someone through extreme pressure, force, or threats to create the codicil or name them as a beneficiary or executor when they otherwise would not have done so.
Another common reason that a codicil may be invalid is undue influence. This occurs when a third party manipulates someone through extreme pressure, force, or threats to create the codicil or name them as a beneficiary or executor when they otherwise would not have done so.
I, Testator Name , a resident of the County of , and State of , being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make, publish and declare this to be a Codicil to my Last Will and Testament dated Date of Last Will and Testament (my Will).
Its important to note that utilizing a codicil to make minor changes to a will, such as modifying the executor, does not automatically revoke the entire will. However, in certain states, a codicil can serve to republish or revoke a will.
There is, however, a drawback: A codicil is unlikely to seamlessly fit with the original will. Is it a pure addition, or does it also negate something in the original document? If its supposed to replace part of the first will, which part?
A will and a codicil are both legal documents. While you might want to use a codicil to make a minor alteration to your last will and testament, the codicil will still be subject to the same legal requirements as the will.
For instance, if an individual wants to add or remove a beneficiary from their will, they can accomplish this through a codicil rather than undertaking the cumbersome process of creating an entirely new document.
A codicil must be signed and witnessed in the same way as the original will, and it must be executed with the same formalities. Codicils are typically used when a person wants to make a few minor changes to their will, rather than creating a new one from scratch.
