hey guys its mallard with another stamp video and today im going to show you guys the difference between russian and finnish stamps [Music] a long long time ago when i was collecting stamps especially first collecting stamps um i came across russian stamps i kind of figure out what they look like and then i would set them aside uh but then come to find out there is a set of stamps from finland that were printed that look the exact same and i had no idea how to tell them apart well i was kind of sick of that so i did the research and i want to give that research to you guys so what ended up happening was russia wanted to take over finland take its um you know basically make it a part of russia and they began to do that by printing their own stamps in finland and using them now these stamps right here look very similar if you look at them one set is russian one stamp set is from finland as you can see they all have the exact same designs except for a few little details so right now i
