what is lop or lwp lop means loss of pay and lwp means leave without pay lop and lwp are same now i will discuss about definition of lop or lwp so what is cellop or lwp if employees dont have leap balance and they want to apply leaves then they can take leaves but they dont get salary for those leave its called as lop or lwp now how to calculate lop there is a formula pi day salary into lop ill take one example suppose my gross salary 26 000 and lop 10 days so what is gross gross means in in a month salary now s by the formula first i will find out per day salary so here what i have done gross divided 26 days so gross as i told you monthly salary and 26 days means total working days in a month then i find 1000 will be my per day salary now i will calculate loss of pay so 1000 into lop equal to loss of pay will be 10 000 so 10 000 will be my loss of pay so this is called a lop calculation

In our company, the rule for rule without pay is to deduct the salary per working day. For example, if the salary of an employee is Rs 26,000 pm and the number of working days in a month are 26 - if the employee takes Leave without pay for 3 days, 3 x 26,000/26 = 3,000 would be deducted.
For a basic calculation of leave allowance, multiply the number of days you work on average each week by 5.6. For example, if you work a five day week, you would be entitled to 28 days annual leave a year.
