hello and thank you for watching on todays video inserting multi-line footers im going to follow up on our inserted footers video by showing you how you can insert footers using multiple lines when necessary this allows you to have multiple line footers that change throughout your document im in a document and this document currently does have a footer but this is the default footer located under user settings document tab and so i can simply remove that footer if i dont want to use it or i can simply insert new footers to use in this document which ill do and so you do see my default footer down there however id like to use different footers throughout this document and so what im going to do is go to the beginning of the first page where id like my footer to begin ill choose alt n and footer and ill press enter so that i can begin typing for this document i want my footers to have the current witness name along with the current examiner name and so im going to type in firs

You can go to File Options Quick Access Toolbar, select All Commands at the top left, select Print Preview Edit Mode in the list, and click the Add button to add this command to your toolbar. That mode will show the main document with headers and footers not dimmed.
Headers and footers are shaded because they are not in the typing area of the document. When you double-click inside the header or footer, the text will show as normal and the body of the document will be faded.
