In this screencast, we'll demonstrate how to convert form-based PDF contracts into structured data by creating a document parser that extracts key dates and checkbox values from a standardized lease agreement. We begin by selecting "standardized contracts" as the document type and upload sample contracts to set up parsing rules. Next, we create parsing rules, starting with extracting the signatory's name by drawing a selection area and confirming it. A text manipulation filter is automatically added to split the full name into first and last names. Our second parsing rule focuses on extracting the signatory's date of birth using a date preset and drawing a selection around the relevant area.
