hello a recent was denied a job driving for lyft and uber because of my criminal background the criminal background I had is over ten years old Iamp;#39;m trying to get an expungement before I can obtain my expungement I have to pay some court costs to edit up to $600 the court found me indigent of three of the charges I had and last charge I had to pay the 600 so what Iamp;#39;m doing is asking if anybody wouldnamp;#39;t help me pay the $600 so I can achieve my response or I could try to get myself a better job thank you very much for thought all those who participate

How do I apply? Contact the Public Defender or legal aid. The Public Defender or legal aid in the county where you have convictions will be able to help you start the process. Submit petitions if eligible. In about 2-6 weeks, the Public Defender or legal aid will contact you. Receive decision.
Expungement forms are filed in the county where you were convicted. For the San Mateo County, these are filed at the Hall of Justice located at 400 County Center Redwood City, CA 94063 on the 4th Floor, criminal department.
In Indiana, the average cost of expunging a criminal record ranges anywhere from $250 to $1,000 or more. This fee covers the cost of filing petition papers, obtaining court orders and other necessary paperwork fees.
A person who has any pending criminal charges is not eligible for expungement. Minor traffic offenses cannot be expunged (except if released without charges). The following court supervision records also cant be expunged: reckless driving (age 25 or older), DUIs, and sexual offenses against a minor.
The Court charges a fee for filing each dismissal/expungement petition. The fee is currently $120 for each felony case and $60 for each misdemeanor case. There is no filing fee for dismissing/expunging infractions.
Californias Clean Slate Act, or AB 1076 or penal code 1076, automatically seals some arrest records and dismisses some criminal convictions. The law, signed by Governor Gavin Newsom in October 2019, started on Jan 1, 2021. People who qualify for this relief do not need to do anything to clear their records.
Some felonies can be expunged. However, some crimes are ineligible for expungement, including sex crimes, violent crimes, crimes resulting in bodily injury to another person, homicide, and human trafficking. For most felonies, an individual must wait eight years after conviction to request an expungement.
You are most likely to be entitled to expunge your records if you meet the following criteria: You have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor. You are not currently facing any criminal charges. You are not currently serving a sentence for a criminal offense. You did not serve time in a California state prison.
