hi itamp;#39;s Jim well Minsky and this is actually by request I got a comment and an email from one of you regarding D hazing your photos somebody had gone on a trip and of course you know when youamp;#39;re on a trip the weather you get is the weather you get itamp;#39;s not like you can wait or come back the next day or come back the next week and so you shoot anyway and this person came back and of course the photos were all just foggy and hazy and unusable and the D haze control in the develop module here didnamp;#39;t quite do it wasnamp;#39;t quite up to the task and so he wondered what he could do about it this photograph was taken in Chicago and in Chicago it doesnamp;#39;t get much worse than this this was taken on a super super foggy and rainy day and on top of that we were up in the clouds actually because we were about 50 floors up when this was shot so this is really bad and you can see thereamp;#39;s no detail in the sky I have no local contrast nothing itamp;#39

Does color profile matter when shooting RAW?

Shooting RAW If youre shooting in jpeg only, or JPEG + RAW, your camera will give you a choice of color space for the JPEGs. Id recommend using docHubRGB there. But again, if youre shooting RAW only, then you dont need to worry about any of the color space settings in your camera, they wont have any effect.

Do picture styles matter when shooting RAW?

Using in-camera picture styles will have no effect on the raw images. The picture styles are only visible in the JPEG preview images, as seen on the back LCD screen. But all settings are embedded inside the raw files, so it can be retrieved in post-processing software again.

Can you directly edit a RAW image?

Yes, you read that right: a RAW file cannot be edited or processed in just any image editor.
