While his e-mail was sitting in my inbox, Sam was at work trying to figure this out on his own. On my flight back from the Amsterdam Excel Summit, I was trying to find a solution. When I got home, I sent him my solution, he sent me his version, Iamp;#39;m going to show you both. From the Home tab, choose Border. Choose Erase Border. The mouse pointer is displayed as an eraser. Click the eraser on the edge of each cell in range F6:H7 to remove the border.

The formula =D1+D2+D3 breaks because it lives in cell D3, and its trying to calculate itself. To fix the problem, you can move the formula to another cell. Press Ctrl+X to cut the formula, select another cell, and press Ctrl+V to paste it.
